Groundbreaking Ceremony for Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC

Written by Rahyne Motes-Greer, April 8, 2025

On the morning of Friday, March 26, 2025, Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC’s (TVT) clinical director, Katie Whiting, and business manager, Margo Kelly, had the pleasure of breaking ground on the future site of TVT’s new mental health clinic. Katie and Margo welcomed their friends, family, and fellow staff members to join them in celebrating a huge milestone for both Katie, TVT and the community.

Established in 2021, The purpose of Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC, was (and is) to support the community by providing expert mental-health and therapy services. Services offered are trauma-informed approaches, psychoeducation, and a therapeutic alliance to help people in need who are seeking new resources and healing guidance. The primary basis of TVT’s core values is to create a safe and welcoming environment for both clients and staff.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Katie told everyone how it’s been a dream of hers since she was in high school to have her own mental-health clinic. As she has gained her education and experience - personally and as the owner of Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC -  she has realized the importance of offering quality care for clients and excellent training for emerging clinicians. With this new building, there will be a state-of-the-art training facility available for student interns and plenty of offices for fully-licensed clinicians to join in the effort to raise the standard of care for people seeking mental-health assistance.

Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC’s new location started as a dream of Katie’s, but has been brought to life with the assistance of Wright Brothers Building Company, Studio H Architects, Idaho Central Credit Union, and the Small Business Administration (SBA) loan program, which were also celebrated at the groundbreaking.

The ceremony was hosted by Wright Brothers Building Company; the builders of the future home of TVT. Wright Brothers is a well known construction company in Idaho, with projects being completed in over 15 different business industries since 1956 (1). Nicol Young and Rob Faddick have proven Wright Brothers’ “values remain unchanged: no project is too big or small, technology fuels our success, and we’re dedicated to bettering the communities we serve” (1)

Studio H Architects, a locally owned design business that specializes in architecture and interior design (2), was also present at the ceremony. Jessica Heggie, Rory Heggie, and Aviva Childress at Studio H have worked tirelessly to not only create a phenomenal design that meets Katie’s vision, but also in navigating the stressors of planning and zoning regulations. Their expertise in “local zoning codes and regulations allows them to guide their clients through the planning and approval process smoothly” (2).

Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU) has been working with Katie and Margo as the community commercial loan provider. Toby Gozart at ICCU has been by our side throughout this entire process. We are fortunate that ICCU is able to work with Paulette Hudson at Capital Matrix to make this dream come true for a small business like Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC with the SBA loan program.

The new site for Treasure Valley Therapy, LLC can be found on the corners of Northview and Milwaukee street in Boise, Idaho, with a banner displayed proudly for passersby to see. The new clinic is expected to be done in early fall of 2025.
