About Katie

My therapist role is to help you gain new skills and insights in your healing journey to create powerful and lasting change. I work with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life. I am honored to assist those who are still burdened by sexual trauma/abuse, suffering from betrayal trauma, or who are cycling through sexual addiction. Finding the best treatment approach for each situation is essential to recovery, and finding the right therapist is part of that process. I utilize the relationships in the therapy room to support understanding, create boundaries, experience growth, and healthy connection.

I specialize in four areas. Sexual Trauma: any unwanted or distressing sexual experience. Sexual Addiction: a continuum of intrusive fantasies, masturbation, or solicitation of prostitutes. Betrayal Trauma: often experienced by partners of sex addicts or other similar relationship rejections (commonly linked with PTSD). Reunification Therapy: court-involved family situations like divorce and custody. I am an informed member of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).

With my approach, I often integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) with my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I take a trauma-informed perspective with your experiences (whether as a full disclosure, trauma story, or EMDR) to promote healthier boundaries, self-image, and relationships. We will collaborate treatment goals and find what tools will work best for you so I can empower you on your healing journey. I work at your pace to help you regain control over your life.

As a wife and mother, I know the value in healthy connections. In my free time, I love watching horror movies, quilting, and spending time outside. My family loves hiking and camping together. Computer gaming is another enjoyable activity my husband and I do together while our kids nap. Life can be hard; you don’t have to be alone or without resources on your healing journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
