About Lynzi

We are all shaped by the stories that have defined our lives, formed our self-image, and influenced our relationships with others. Sometimes, those stories need to be viewed, heard, and even rewritten to understand their truth better. My counseling approach is influenced by narrativetherapy, where I believe you are the main character in your own life. My role is to listen with care, support you in finding meaning, and co-author new perspectives to help you move forward in a way that feels true to who you are and your values.

I support those working through addiction recovery (sex, food, and substance use), trauma, grief, and life transitions, such as entering different stages of life, going from high school to college, choosing a different career, or any other change or disruption to one’s daily life. I am also passionate about supporting individuals from all different backgrounds, including those who feel misunderstood and left out. I strive to create a welcoming, culturally responsive environment for all clients. We will collaborate and work through feelings, such as shame, guilt, and fear, that often arise in these areas to authentically rewrite the story of your life to reflect who you are and who you want to be.

My counseling style is characterized by calmness, warmth, and support. My clinical training is rooted in an existential-humanistic perspective, and I continually expand my skills through ongoing education in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Whether you’re facing a specific struggle or seeking greater self-awareness, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and hope. Together, we will empower you to take control of your narrative and become the protagonist of your story.

As a person who understands the struggles of maintaining social connections and self-care while balancing work and school, I have learned to overcome life's challenges and embrace the discomfort of the unknown by believing in myself and leaning on my social connections. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and reading books of all genres, going on walks, playing pickleball, and spending time with my chosen family. If you're ready to embark on this journey, I'd love the opportunity to collaborate with you as your co-author.
